Open data
Open data is information and numbers freely available on the internet in a structured and machine-readable form and made available in a way that does not impose unnecessary technical or other barriers to their use. The format and structure of open data therefore allows for their mass computer processing, for which the publisher has given legal permission. As a result, they can continue to be freely processed, even within software applications.
TUTA Pilsen
All important information in one place. Collecting current data about life in the city that can be really useful - this is another mission of the TUTA Pilsen Project. Are you looking for information about water or heating outages? Do you need to see the current traffic situation, closures, accidents or use breaking news from public transport? TUTA Pilsen is here for you.
TechTower
TechTower is one of the most modern technology parks in the Czech Republic, offering facilities and offices for innovative companies, technology enthusiasts, programmers and start-up entrepreneurs. It provides coworking space, a multifunctional hall, a unique test water tank, a canteen and SeedUp Space and last but not least a prototype workshop where ideas are turned into reality. TechTower is a modern revitalized area of the former brewery in the Slovany district on the southern outskirts of Pilsen.
SIT Drones
The SIT Drones are part of the SITMP. Thanks to innovations they help the development of the drone industry, push its boundaries and are a professional partner for their customers. They are an inspiration for young talents and a help for the drone community. SIT Drones are the only ones in the Czech Republic that are part of the integrated rescue system. They provide aerial support and other services to the units of the firefighters and the police in the Pilsen region. They develop their own hardware and software to improve their services.
SIT Port
SIT Port is a port for technical enthusiasts and startups business people. It provides them with facilities, not only in the TechTower premises, and offers expert advice and mentoring. It builds a technical community and connects individuals with a variety of practitioners. It offers students and young people a space to create, organizes interesting projects and events (hackathons, workshops, conferences, festivals). It offers community members the facilities of a prototype workshop or a shared SIT Port cowork office.
The Center of Robotics
The Center of Robotics as another part of the SITMP is a place of education, support and leisure activities in the field of digital technologies. It offers clubs and activities for children, courses for seniors, educational seminars for teachers, programs for primary and kindergarten classes. The Center also supports them materially, equipping schools with robots, tablets and experimental kits for research-oriented science education.
Festival We innovate Pilsen
We innovate Pilsen is the largest festival of technology and innovation in the Pilsen region. It shows attractive projects of the future, the progress of technology, and becomes a place of unusual experiences and interesting meetings. Since its first edition in 2018, it has been offering visitors exhibitions in the field of artificial intelligence, autonomous driving, electromobility, robotics and other innovations not only from regional companies. It also presents projects and research from the university environment. It includes the popular Dronfest festival.
Pilsen Card
Pilsen residents have been using the city chip card since May 2004. From the original check-in and reservation system, the functions of the Pilsen Card have been expanded many times. Not only does the card allow uploading of subscriptions or cash for public transport and IDP rides, but it can also be used for booking tickets to selected institutions, for paying parking fees, in school canteens, businesses, as an attendance system in schools and day care centers, as a library card or as a discount card within the bonus program.
Pilsen Carsharing
As a modern city Pilsen offers its citizens the option of a shared car, the so-called Karkulka, as an alternative mean of transport. The service is operated by Pilsen’s municipal transport company and is ideal for those who travel irregularly or do not want to have their own car. The price depends on the kilometers and a rental of shared car. Using the service saves money and the environment. The cars are regularly serviced and cleaned.

Who manages the Smart City project?
The city of Pilsen has established the position of a Councillor for Smart City. Mainly, the city employees and employees of its contributory organizations have been engaged in the project, using the potential of the best experts. However, the groups also include external experts recognized both in the Czech Republic and abroad.
How is Smart City funded?
It is financed from the budget of the city and its commercial or public-benefit organizations.
