Since February 2017, the Pilsen City transport Company has been successfully testing new trolleybuses with an alternative battery drive, which are even more environmentally friendly and offer greater comfort for passengers and drivers.
Their operation has been problem-free so far and the purchase of these vehicles is planned in the future, when they should replace all trolleybuses with an auxiliary diesel generator. Vehicles with an auxiliary drive are used mainly on lines serving the outskirts of the city or during closures.
